SAUSD Teacher Induction is proud to offer our participants the opportunity to pursue higher degrees, and earn credit for their induction work through our university partners. 

Grand Canyon University

Grand Canyon University will accept and apply up to 9 credits transfer with completion of cleared credential toward a number of College of Education Master of Arts programs.

 

Cost: Total cost of the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction degree is approximately $12,000 inclusive of tuition, books and fees.

 

Benefit: Complete your degree in less time and save money! Several programs available: MA in Curriculum and Instruction, MA in Autism Spectrum Disorders, MA in Reading, MA in TESOL, MS in Instructional Technology.

University of the Pacific

Graduate-level professional development credits awarded for Induction courses. 8 credits per year. 

 

Cost: $50 per credit

 

Benefit: Credits can be applied to salary and step advancements.

University of Phoenix

University of Phoenix waives 13 credits of an MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction. In addition to the credits, there is a tuition reduction of 10% for the remaining 22 credits. 

 

Cost: Credits are free. 

 

Benefit: Self-paced online program. There are only 7 - 6 week courses and 1 - 3 week course to complete the program.

Concordia University Irvine

Online Master's degree program and/or Doctoral program

Vanguard University

Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership 

Vanguard University will credit 6 units toward a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership for the completion of the SAUSD Induction Program. 

​ 

Cost: $675 per unit / the 33-unit TOTAL is comprised of 21 units plus the 6 units credited from the Induction Program. 

​ 

Benefit: Significant savings in time and money. This Master’s in Education can be completed in 2 years through 2 courses per semester. Traditional and blended (online) delivery models are available.

Our Teacher Advancement Program provides Professional Development and Continuing Education graduate-level courses through our partnership with College Credit Connection (CCC).
