About Teacher Induction

California Teacher Induction programs are locally designed and implemented in accordance with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Standards for Teacher Induction and are accredited by the CTC to recommend candidates for the clear multiple subject, single subject, or education specialist credentials. 

 

Who can participate?

Our program is designed to support new teachers who hold their preliminary credentials, beginning in their first year of teaching. The SAUSD Teacher Induction Program fulfills the requirements for the California Clear Multiple Subjects, Single Subjects, and  Education Specialists Credentials.

 

What can I expect?

SAUSD Teacher Induction uses the Inquiry Cycle and a mentoring system of support for our candidates. Over two years, candidates are provided with job-embedded mentoring and professional learning opportunities that engage them in practicing and applying the art of reflective teaching.
