Class Track Grant Program​​

 

Are you classified staff interested in earning your teaching credential?

 

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) has a classified employee grant which provides up to $4,320 per fiscal year to assist classified employees pursue their teaching credentials. Classified employees from SAUSD will be selected to participate in this program that we call Class Track.

 

The Class Track grant is not a stipend. The purpose is to help offset the cost of completing educational plans, and participants will be reimbursed for approved expenses after they have submitted an expense report and proof of payment. Approved expenses may include tuition, books, school fees, test prep fees, and parking.

Class Track Details:

In order to be considered for this grant, interested applicants must meet the following requirements:

                                                    

  1. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7

  2. Provide unofficial transcripts from all colleges attended

  3. Completed a minimum of 60 college-level units

  4. Must be a current (permanent) classified employee of SAUSD

  5. Provide one letter of recommendation from a current/past supervisor/staff in supervisory role recommending you to the Class Track grant

  6. Agree to the terms of the Class Track grant MOU (after being accepted to the grant program)
